I enjoy podcasts, but one of my frustrations is that I’m usually listening to a podcast at a time when I can’t (or can’t easily) take notes — despite the fact that I always carry a little notebook in my pocket. I usually listen while I’m running, walking, or driving, and it’s not easy to scribble a note.
Yes, I could take a voice memo on my phone, but that’s easier said than done.
This is an opportunity for the publisher. Create a companion email that includes an outline of, and key takeaways from, every podcast. It would be a nice service to your listeners and a regular reminder of your podcast program. It’s also a way to collect email addresses from people who listen to your podcast.
